Kantha World is an effort to market linkage of hand works of rural women in Bangladesh who are particularly mother and do not have enough scope or time to engage in a full time job outside their home. We give them cloths and accessories, they come up with their design skill and present it on the kantha through hand stitch. The difference with traditional local kantha is we are producing these with new cloth, no used cloths are used in our value chain.

We have started our journey in this year and in our channel there are around 50 rural households are engagement. Our initiative has ensured a sustainable employment of these women who would not have scope to involve in mainstream economic productive channel, now its possible through the digital market place.

Currently we are focusing on contract manufacture of kantha to ensure regular job of these mother of marginal income group. At the same time we are also catering consumer market need and delivering product based on individual demand.
